THE JENNY THE FOKKER DR-I
and their aircraft to knights in shining armor.
Used by U.S.Army as a training plane. After the war, many pilots flew the Jenny in flying circuses called Barnstorming. The Jenny was also a principle carrier of airmail for the Post Office.
The airplane flown by the German ace Baron von Rictofen, also known as the Red Baron. The Red Baron was once quoted as saying that the Fokker DR-I "climbed like a monkey, but maneuvered like the devil". The Baron recorded 80 confirmed kills in his Fokker DR-I making him one of combat aviation's greatest aces.
THE FOKKER D-VII,
A major contributor to the German war effort. The Fokker D-VII was also flown by Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Latvia, Spain and the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
